Kenneth James Guzzie's Obituary
Kenneth James Guzzie, 72, of Hartly, DE (formerly Springdale, PA)
passed away on Apr 22, 2024. The loss was unexpected and the family
is deeply saddened.
Ken was born on June 4, 1951 and attended Fox Chapel High School
He spent his post graduate years working at Heinz and DelMonte in
Pittsburgh. Upon retirement he and Debbie relocated to Delaware
where he worked at Kraft Foods. He spent his retirement years
volunteering and playing Santa at Hartly Fire Department and Barclay
Assembly of God Church. He spent his days riding his Harley
Davidson, showing off his 1966 Chevy Impala at car shows, and
learning how to play the guitar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Debbie along with sons,
James (Jessica) of Dover, DE and Ken (Lori) of Fairless Hills, PA. He is
also mourned by dear family members David (Michelle) Libitzer of
Magnolia, DE. He was the beloved Pap to Aaron, Brandon and Jocelyn
Libitzer; Jeremy, Logan, Shayne, Jacob, and Brady Guzzie. Ken
received the title of great grandfather to Elias James, son of Jeremy
Guzzie and Logan Alfree and Aurora, daughter of Aaron Libitzer.
Ken was a kind man who always had a smile on his face and laughter in
his voice. There will be a celebration of life with mass and luncheon at
Hartly Fire Hall (2898 Arthursville Road) on Friday, May 17 at 11:30. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hartly Fire
Department or Barclay Assembly of God Church.
