Judith Judy Wise's Obituary
Judith “Judy” Hazel Wise passed away 14 April 2021 at the age of 79 after a fight with lymphoma cancer. Her parents were John Ernest Knappett and Violet Maud Dent and lived in the village of Eyke, Suffolk, England, where Judy graduated from school and started working at the age of 13.Sixty years ago while working at a better job on the USAF base at RAF Bentwaters she met an airmen named Mahlon William Wise. Within two years they were married at the Eyke Church. So for 21 years of her husbands 27 year Air Force career Judy became a great mother and wife. She had three delightful children, Mark Louis, Gary Wayne and Kim Sheree. Within the last six months she became the great grandmother of two beautiful boys. And Judy was always proud of the whole family.During her husbands military assignments she was always interested in meeting new people and traveling. Judy even worked part time in air force clubs. When Mahlon retired from the Air Force, she decided to drive school buses which Judy did for 21 years. In 1988 she took a class to become a US citizen and on the 5th of Dec. Judy was awarded a Certificate of Naturalization. Living in 27 different homes she became quite the interior decorator and learned to make many foreign meals enjoyed by everyone. Judy will be missed and is now in Gods loving hands.Services will be Thursday May 6, 2021 at 11 AM at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover and friends may call at the funeral home at 10:30. Burial will be 1 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
