John Michael Miller's Obituary
John Michael Miller "Mike", age 82, of Delaware, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, on November 10, 2024.
Mike was born and raised in Dillon, SC. He earned a degree from Clemson University before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War.
Through his military service, Mike moved to Delaware, where he met the love of his life, Lois. After his Air Force career, he began a family and worked for Reichold as a lab technician for 16 years. Mike and Lois were married for 54 years and raised two sons. He found immense joy in his family, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Mike enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling life on his farm. He spent many happy years tending to the land, tinkering with equipment and passing on his knowledge and lessons to his sons. He found great joy in long drives with his late wife and spending time with his grandchildren, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Mike’s legacy is one of love, service, and commitment—to his family, his country, and the life he built. He is survived by his sons, Eric (and wife Christine) and Scott, grandchildren, Sara, Ethan and Aidyn, and countless others who were enriched by his kind soul.
Mike’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will live on in the memories he leaves behind.
A private family service will be held to honor his life and his enduring impact on all who knew him.
