Jeffrey Lee Nye's Obituary
Jeffrey Lee Nye was born in Philadelphia on September 26, 1958 and passed from this life on Thursday, December 17, 2015 following a brief illness.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Kathleen (Miller) Nye and also his sister, Lorraine Nye.
He is survived by two brothers, Steven Nye of Florida and Gary Nye of Dover, and also the love of his life, June Godwin.
Employed for the past 10 years by the First Baptist Church of Dover, Jeff’s work as the custodian was much more than a job. He found a big family among the members of the congregation and he loved them all.
As a member of the Walter L. Fox Post 2 of the American Legion, Jeff had lots of friends who will miss him very much.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church of Dover, 301 Walker Road, from 3 to 5 PM on Monday, December 21. A Memorial Service will follow at 5 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray the funeral expenses may be directed to the Deacons Fund, First Baptist Church of Dover, 301 Walker Road, Dover, DE 19904. Arrangements are being handled by Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover.
