James Herman Murray
February 8, 1941 - July 20, 2023 (age 82)
James H (Jimmy) Murray, 82, of Dover, Delaware, left this world peacefully in his sleep in hospice care with his wife Peggy Anderson by his side.
Jimmy was born February 8, 1941 in Millsboro, Delaware, to the late James Edward (Jim) Murray and Irene Murray. He was the oldest of three children.
Jimmy was a horseman (driver & trainer) racing horses over the eastern United States for some 50 plus years before retiring.
Jimmy is survived by his current wife Peggy Anderson.
Jimmy is also survived by his son the Honorable James Alan (Jamie) Murray of Wyoming, Delaware, and daughter Jill Deputy of Milford, Delaware.
Three grandchildren, Casey Burch, Andrew Deputy and Kelli Deputy all of Milford, Delaware. Four great grandchildren Cayden and Jace Burch, Aleigha and Caroline Deputy.
Sister Janis and her husband Leon Collins of Georgetown, Delaware and sister Judy Edwards of League City, Texas.
At Jimmy's wishes, a private memorial service for family will be held in the coming days.
