James Kline Jarman's Obituary
Hartly, James Kline Jarman, died Feb. 21, 2024, Kline was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Dover, DE son of the late Ward and Clara Bostic Jarman. He served in the US Army and worked for Jarman Garage, Buchanan Service/Firestone, and General Foods/Kraft where he retired in 1990. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. When the grandchildren were young, he and his wife Edith could be found at most of their home games of softball, basketball, hockey, and at the race track to watch grandson race go carts and micros. He enjoyed working in his shop and often made projects of wood for his family. He also fixed lawn mowers for family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that asked. Kline was preceded in death by his wife Edith, four sisters; Dorcus Pete, Betty Newman Heinold, Edith Rash, and Mrytle McClements, five brothers; Thomas Nobel, Clinton, William, Walter, and Bernard. Kline is survived by two daughters; Beverly Smith and her husband Bruce, Connie Gingerich and Her husband David, one son; Alan Jarman and special friend Bonnie all of Hartly. Seren grandchildren, Michelle Bundek (Richard), Jessi Thompson (Adam), Wendy Carpenter (Kenny), Susie Hobbs (Adam), Davey Gingerich (Erica), Amanda Gosch, Samantha Jarman (Brad), nine great-grandchildren, caregivers Angela Gibson and Pascal Richards. Services will be 1 PM Friday March 1, at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover, family and friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM. Interment will be at Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
