James Morrow Hoover, 86
James Morrow Hoover passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE.
James was born December 15, 1926 in Mt. Union, PA to the late Wilson and Amanda Hoover.
He served in the United States Merchant Marine during the final months of WW II.
James retired as Master Sergeant from USAF in 1966 after 20 years service
He later retired from the US Civil Service in 1993
He was preceded in death by Ann Hoover his wife of 61 years
He is survived by son James C. Hoover and wife Kathleen; daughter Peggy Ann Angel and her husband Allan; and daughter Victoria B. Hoover; grandson James H. Hoover and wife Emilia; grandaugthers Christina Murphy and husband Brian, Kelly Johnson and husband Sam; Jennifer Angel-Fuhlman and husband Nat; special grandson Randell Williams and great-granddauhters Lillian Johnson and Zoey Paige Fuhlman
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St. Dover, DE where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Sharon Hill cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford DE 19963 and St John's Lutheran Church, 113 Lotus Street, Dover, DE 19901
