James Thomas Anderson Jr.'s Obituary
James “Tommy” Anderson, 102, passed away Friday, Aug 1, 2025, at Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE. He died after a short but fatal bout with skin cancer.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Snyder & son-in-law, John, his Dixon nieces & nephew, including his niece, Pat Davis, who was a special caregiver to him in his last years. Tommy & Ross Trader, his former bosses, have been dedicated & faithful friends & Bruce Ennis was a loyal buddy, a good influence on him, & a faithful cousin to his daughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, & son, Richard Anderson.
Special thanks to Country Rest Home in Greenwood for providing excellent care for him in his final days & to his nurse, Tracy Rothermel at Delaware Hospice. Carol & Barbara, 2 of his head nurses at Country Rest Home, provided amazing help & direction to his daughter.
His funeral will be, like him, simple & quiet, at Trader Funeral Home with a private graveside burial after for just family. Service at the Funeral Home will start at 930AM on Thursday, Aug 14, 2025. Casual Dress. In lieu of flowers, a gift to Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover is requested.
