Howard Wesley Moore Jr.'s Obituary
Howard W. Moore, Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11th at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Howard was born to Howard Moore, Sr. and Anna Jensen Moore in Dover, DE on Oct. 18, 1934. He graduated from Dover High School in 1953. He worked for ILC in Dover and Frederica DE, as a machine mechanic, for over 30 years and received several commendations for his work on the early Apollo and Skylab missions. He also served 11 years in the U. S. National Guard and was prod to serve his country and salute our nations flag. In his retirement years he loved travelling the U. S. with his wife in their camper and playing back yard and indoor games with his family. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marguerite Quillen and Dorothy Nelson, son Glen Moore and granddaughter Kelly Moore. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Ruth Austin Moore, Son Barry Moore and his wife Michelle, grandchildren Matthew Moore and his wife Molly, Kimberly Moore, Nathan Moore and his mother Maria Poremski and great grandchildren Derek, Harper, Blair, and Quinn. Also a large extended family. A private viewing will be held at Trader Funeral Home.
