Harry E Masten's Obituary
Harry Eugene (Gene) Masten passed away on Monday October 25, 2021 at the age of 77. Gene was born in Dover, DE to the late William D. Masten and Elizabeth A. Masten (Donophan). He retired from the State of Delaware as a Correctional Officer and he was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Frances (Fran) Masten (Spayd) of Dover; son Deric (Andrea) Masten of Katy, TX and daughter Sheryl (Robert) Cottle of Malta, ID. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His family was the most important part of his life. He also spent most of his time helping others and calling them on the phone.He is also survived by sisters Eleanor (Robert) Eckley of Ohio, Dorcus (JD) Beuchaw of Oklahoma, Vivian (Vince) Catalanatto of Mississippi and brother Charles (Judy) Masten of Harrington, DE, in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Fred, William (Bill) and Jeff, and sisters Louise, Jeanette, Betty Jean and Elizabeth (Betty).Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday November 5, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 237 W Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE.
