Guy Stanley Herrington, 89
GREENWOOD- Guy Stanley Herrington passed away peacefully Saturday December 9, 2018 at The Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE.
Guy was born September 15, 1929 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania to the late Leo Herrington and Elsie (Griffin) Herrington.
Guy is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary Jane (Williamson) Herrington of Greenwood, DE; 2 sons Leland Herrington of Virginia, and Drew Herrington of Pennsylvania; 2 stepsons, John Wynn Sr. and wife Becky of Greenwood, DE, and Gary Wynn and wife LuAnn of West Chester, Pennsylvania; 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Guy retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service. He was then employed by the U.S. Postal Service where he retired as a Postmaster.
His hobbies included woodworking, camping, gardening and spending time outdoors.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday December 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sharon Hill Memorial Park, 2928 Sharon Hill Rd, Dover, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, Guy be remembered by contributions made to The Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE.
