Gary Allan Heller's Obituary
Gary Allan Heller, 72 of Dover passed away Wednesday, May 21,2025 at Bay Health Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 17, 1952 in Berwick, PA to the late Darwin G. Heller and Mary E. Heller. He is proceeded in death by his first born, Lisa M. Shaw, granddaughter, Rebecca M. Lonski, and great -nephew Joshua A. Kobus and is survived by his three sons, Shawn M. Heller, Austin W. Heller, and Garett K. Heller; five grandchildren, Sarah Lonski, Steven Moore, Brandon Heller; his wife Amanda Heller and Kayla Saltiel; her husband Tyler Saltiel; Karlee George and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his only sister Carol A. Heller (Who he called his “Shadow”) and his three nieces Carrie A. Kobus; husband Eric C. Kobus, and Shannon Y. Evans; husband Lex Evans Jr., and Jessica E. Guzzie; her husband James L. Guzzie. He is also survived by three great-nieces, three great-nephews, and one great-great niece and three great-great nephews.
Gary painted and was retired from the state of DE. He had a passion for music and shared it by writing songs, singing, and playing the guitar in different bands throughout his musical career and meeting friends who became a part of his family. He was significantly fond of his chihuahua’s and loved them very much. Gary also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and target shooting. Those who knew him will remember how he gained pleasure in pranking and loved to tell an amusing joke! Gary’s journey on this earth was marked by compassion and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and those who were touched by him.
Services will be Friday June 6, 2025, At Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover from 11 to 1. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
