Fred Jester's Obituary
Frederick E. Jester, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Bayhealth Kent Campus.
Fred was born on July 11, 1940 to the late Edward and Helen (Wintjen) Jester in Milford, Delaware.
Fred enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his family.
He was a lifetime member of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company and held many offices during his time of service including chief, president and many others. He was also a past president and vice president of the Kent County Volunteer Firefighters Association.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Moore). Two daughters, Kimberly Vinson (David) and Kelly Jester (Todd Simpson). Grandchildren William Vinson. Taylor Vinson and Evan Schnitzius. Great grandfather to Elliot Vinson.
Honorary grandfather to Tiffany Meding (Josh), Miranda Wieder, Charlotte Krzewinski and Dawson Wieder.
He is also survived by Michael Schnitzius, father of Evan and three sisters in law, Doris Thompson, Charlotte Wallace and Joan Surface, two brothers Richard Jester and James Jester as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial grave side service will be held, Friday, April 4, 2025, 2:30 PM, at Barrett’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware.
