Florence Eleanor Engram's Obituary
Florence (Toby) Engram passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 28, 2021. Mrs. Engram was born on January 30, 1926 to the late Florence and Millard Passwaters in Smyrna, Delaware. Toby married Raymond (Chic) Engram in 1948. They moved to Greensboro, MD where they owned and operated The Hornet’s Nest. They moved back to Delaware in 1956 and Mrs. Engram worked for Birch Dry Cleaners and Joseph Levi & Co. Toby enjoyed family, vacationing at the beach, traveling, cooking, and was a talented seamstress. On holidays and Sundays, all were welcome to enjoy one of her meal creations. She never missed a little league game or school function for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Susan Currie, brothers, Elmer, Millard, and Joseph. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Knight and her husband, Fred with whom she lived. Grandsons, Matt Knight and wife Cary, Jason Knight and wife Megan, Scott Currie and wife Danielle. Granddaughters Jennifer Ryan, Kelly Chandler and husband Lance. Great grandsons, Luke, Blake, Colby, Jake, Sam, and great granddaughters Sloan, Jamie, Ruby, and Lily. Services will be private.
