I’ve been fortunate and blessed to share 46 years with “Mom”, Evelyn, as my mother-in-law. We shared a kind, caring, and respectful relationship. I valued her fairness and honesty. She was generous in so many ways, especially with her heart.
Many years ago she had taken our little son David for an outing. They had stopped for ice cream. She brought me back a cone of my favorite, “coffee”. I was pregnant with daughter Mary at the time. She believed expectant mothers shouldn’t “wish for something”! I will always remember the gesture she showed me that day. It was a very big little thing. That was her.
The love, affection, and care she had for my own children, and grandchildren, is the greatest gift for any mother. I’m forever grateful. I loved her and will miss her.
Rest In Peace, Mom
Love,
Jean
