Eva E Outten's Obituary
Eva E. Outten became our guardian angel on August 20, 2016. She was 83 years young. Ms. Eva was born at home in Clio, S.C. to John and Mary Stubbs. Although she wore many hats, she spent many years working at Outten Bros. Furniture Store. Ms. Eva enjoyed spending time at the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge and Harrington Raceway & Casino, but her passion and devotion belonged to her family.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: J.D. Stubbs, Polly Stubbs, and James Harvey Stubbs.
Ms. Eva is survived by her beautiful sister Marie Porter and her partner in crime, Donald Case, Sr., with whom she spent 32 years. She took special pride in her nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews.
Her son, David F. Outten, was her gift and will continue to carry her memory and legacy.
Her grandchildren, Benjamin D.R. Outten and Melanie Outten Subers (husband, Glenn E. Subers) will miss her terribly, but will continue to pass on her “tell it like it is” advice and stories. Her granddaughter promises to master her corn bread (one day).
Later in life, her joy came from her great grandbabies: Cody, Griffin, Jaxson, and Quinn. She loved fishing, watching Old Westerns, and filling them with sugar. They will miss their Mom-Mom very much.
She was Ms. Eva, Mom, Mom-Mom, and Aunt Eva to many. But she was love to everyone.
Life on the farm will never be the same, but as the wind blows through the pecan trees, we know our guardian angel is watching over her family.
The Outten Family would like to thank the staff at Delaware Hospice.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at 1100 am, at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE 19901.
At Ms. Eva’s request – Donations can be made to the Camden Wyoming Women of the Moose, Chapter 1546, P.O. Box 153, Camden Wyoming, DE 19934 in lieu of flowers.
Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
