Elizabeth A Reuter
Surrounded by her devoted family, Elizabeth (Betty) A. Reuter passed away on December 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Whaley and her brother, Charles Whaley Jr.
Elizabeth is survived by her four children: Carole Pearce, Kenneth Reuter Jr., Bernadette Bourque and Steven Reuter. She has thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Betty, a resident of Dover since 1963, was retired from General Foods Corporation. She loved music and played guitar and piano. As a teenager, she performed in an orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Family gatherings always included music and singing. Her knowledge of the lyrics to old songs amazed her family. Betty loved life. She helped many people in need and will be missed by many who knew her.
Friends may visit at Trader Funeral Home at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 18. Funeral Mass will follow. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. on December 19. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org/donate and Delaware Hospice.
