Elizabeth A Lewis' Obituary
Elizabeth A. Lewis of Wilmington passed away quietly on Wednesday January 5, 2022, in Complete Care at Silver Lake. She was 100. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Conrad K.D. Lewis. She was born on June 25, 1921, in Holloway Terrace to the late Roy and Lillian Arters. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School where she was affectionately known as "Betty".She held the position of Worthy Matron of the Caesar Rodney Chapter, No. 8, Order of the Eastern Star in the Masonic Temple. She was a member of Red Lion Evangelical Free Church as well as their senior choir. She was employed by E.I. DuPont Company as a Key Punch supervisor until she retired. During which time Betty was a member of the DuPont Chorus and the Wilmington Chorale Society. After her retirement from E.I. DuPont she opened her own in-home daycare for many years, while touching many lives. She is survived by her children; daughter Judith Kreppein of Smyrna, DE, son Jim Lewis and his wife Donna of Friendship, N.Y., daughter Tammy and her husband Mike Zurek of Worton, MD., grandchildren, Arthur "Jay" Tressler and his wife Anna; Tiffany Zurek, Brittany Zurek, Christian Lewis, Suzanne Lewis and Brandy Zurek; great grandchildren Ashlyn Tressler, Aaron Tressler, Kamryn Porter and Chase Porter. Remembrance services will be held Friday January 14th at noon in Trader Funeral Home in Dover, where friends may call from 10am-12pm.Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be given to the American Cancer Society.
