ELAINE GARRISON, 70
Elaine Garrison, 70, of Smyrna, Delaware, (formerly Dover) passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 with her family by her side after a long battle with Scleroderma.
Elaine was born in Maben, West Virginia to Lowell and Lora Canada on December 3, 1943. She was the sister of John (Johnnie) Canada of Mims, Florida, Gloria (Glo) Canada of Casa Grande, Arizona and Robert (Bobby) Canada of Glen Burnie, Maryland. She spent many years as a devoted mother and wife and then worked as a property manager for Frank Robino Companies for over 20 years. She loved first and foremost, spending time with her grandchildren, her dog, “Livey”, crocheting, crafts, gardening and canning.
Elaine is survived by her husband of almost 39 years, Thomas Garrison of Dover and four children; daughter, Kathy Nowrey; daughter, Staci Garrison; son, Jamie Garrison and daughter, Katrina Garrison-Gott (husband Jeffrey Gott). In addition, eight grandchildren, Shawn Nowrey, Shane Nowrey, (Kathy Nowrey); Megan Garrison, Jessica Garrison, Matthew Garrison (Jamie Garrison); Wesley Gott, Bryn Gott, and Drew Elaine Gott (Katrina Garrison-Gott).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation - Delaware Valley Chapter (SFDV), 385 Kings Highway North Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, Phone 856-779-7225.
Friends may visit/call, Wednesday, September 24th from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, DE 19901. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 and burial at Sharon Hill Memorial Park will follow immediately after services.
