Efenita Marcos Navarro's Obituary
Efenita Marcos Navarro used the birthday of her older sister who passed away before she was born. Her birth certificate was destroyed when the building that had her birth certificate was destroyed by fire.
Efenita attended Mary Johnston School of Nursing where she finished her nursing major. She extended her studies by attending Siliman Univeristy, and University of the Philippines.
Efenita began her work as a public health nurse in one of the provinces in the Philippines. During her 20 years of service, she did the work of a Midwife, CNA, LPN, and RN. She was very diligent and honest in her work. Most of all, she included the love of Christ in her service to others. When she sees a mother who’s poor and needy after delivering her baby, she would come back to her home and gave the mother her own clothes.
She brought up her three children in the knowledge of Jesus Christ teaching them to love and respect others. Almost every Sunday, she went to church with her three children and her dog named Brownie. When a foreigner asked the missionaries from Australia about the churches in the Philippines, they responded that even the dogs go to church. She did not only led her three children to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ but also shared Jesus Christ though Vacation Bible Study in her church and also in her neighborhood.
Efenita is survived by her three children and their spouses, Percy and Marivic, May Cherry and Tim, and Leonor and Dan. She has six grand children Xerez, Xavier, Jordan, Gianjie, Kyle, Luigi, and two great grand children, Khloe and Levi Kyler.
