.... even taking down the old fence between our yards so they had a great space to run and play. Such wonderful memories of our time on Governors Ave. Will never forget Ed coming outside and blowing his horn on New Years.
Ed and I have been very close friends for over 17 years. I believed him to be like a surrogate brother. Ed was quick-witted and could easily bring forth laughter with this quick wit and natural sense of humor. He and I had much fun kidding around with one another. There was also a serious side to Ed as well and we enjoyed many meaningful conversations together. Ed was a wonderful human being who exhibited the highest degree of character. I firmly believe that he would step forward to assist others when in need. He was both very bright as well as "down to Earth" and had an uncanny degree of common sense. He possessed, utilized and applied his profound wisdom in making sense of seemingly complicated or complex situations. With Ed's passing, there is left a tremendous void which, I believe and regret to say, can never, ever be filled. He will be missed more than words can ever convey. I am very proud and honored to have called him both my brother and my very close friend. Ron and Donna Lapera.

My deepest condolences to the Larrivee Family. I worked with Joan for many years and remember Ed coming by with his smile and quick wit. He was one of the kindest and most loving people, truly loving his wife and family! Heaven received an angel and the stars are brighter.
Karen and I moved to our home in 2018 on the same street as Ed and Joan. I can remember being out front doing something when a white van stopped. The guy driving asked if I was the new person living here. I walked over, extended my hand to introduce myself when he said, I don't shake hands thru a window. He quickly opened the door, stepped out and said, my name is Ed, welcome to the neighborhood and we shook hands.
Over the he years it was always a pleasure to see Ed pass by, give a wave and yell hello out of the window.
We are so sorry for your loss. We didn't know Ed well however what we can say is Ed was a nice person, we will miss that great smile.
