Earl “Warren” Thompson, Jr.
1930-2017
Born in Dover, DE on July 1, 1930 to the late Earl and Catherine Thompson; departed this life on October 18, 2017.
Earl is preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Thompson.
Earl is survived by his children, Linda Wester (DE) and Earl Thompson III (PA), two granddaughters Dawn Haw-Young (DE) and Sue Lynn Haw (DE), a grandson Phillip Thompson (WI), two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He was an Army Veteran and a City Cab drive for many years in Dover. He was known and loved by many around town as there wasn’t a cab driver quite like him. We will miss that million dollar smile.
Friends and family may come to call at 1pm with services beginning at 2pm on Tuesday, October 24th at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St, Dover, DE.
The burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Meals on Wheels of Delaware, Delaware Hospice, or the Delaware Veteran's Home.
