Dorothy M. Foster's Obituary
Dorothy Marie Foster of Dover, DE passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on June 07, 1932, in Clayton, DE, the daughter of Frank McGinnis and Mary McFadden (McGinnis). Dorothy was a strong-willed, loving woman who enjoyed spending her time with family and one of her biggest joys was when her 3 great-grand kids, Elijah, Delilah and Carter stopped by. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, gardening and loved listening to bluegrass music.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald, her son, John, her grandson, James, 5 brothers, a sister and a sister-in-law. She is also preceded in death, by a dear friend Helen McFadden.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Reece, brothers, Kennard McGinnis and Paul McGinnis (Pat), sisters-in-law, Stella McGinnis and Wanda McGinnis and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Trader Funeral Home will oversee services on Monday, November 18th at Southside Baptist Church located at 4904 S Dupont Hwy. Dover, DE. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, with the services at 12:00 pm. Following the services, interment will be at Sharon Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
