Dorothea M. Downes Comegys' Obituary
Dorothea M. Downes Comegys, 85, Dover, passed away Friday June 6, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center Milford.
She was born on August 7, 1928 in Milford, DE to the late Frank and Ida Glanden Downes.
Mrs. Comegys worked at Richardson & Robbins food prossing plant for many many years until it's closing in 1975. She worked for Captial School District in the food service dept. until retireing in 1990. She is preceded in death by her father and mother Frank and Ida Downes of Dover, sister Corinne Seaman Beasley of Dover, brother William Downes of Felton.
She is survived by her Husband of 66 years, Wilbert W. Comegys, Sr. of Dover, DE. Son and his wife, Wilbert W. and Susan Comegys, Jr. of Felton, DE. Son, James D. Comegys of Smyran, DE. Sister and her husband, Betty and Woody Johnson of Dover, DE. Sister and her husband, Charlotte and Ben Shockley of Dover, DE. Grand Son and his wife, Justin and Katie Comegys of Magnolia, DE. Grand daughter, Cory Lynn Comegys of Smyrna, DE. They were the pleasure and love of her life as was her family, many nieces & nephews, and many wonderful friends. The family would like to thank the Delaware Hospice Center for their love and care.
Remembrance Services will be held Wed. 06/11/2014 1 PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE
Friends may also call Wed. from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
