Dawson F Glanden's Obituary
Dawson F. Glanden passed away peacefully Tuesday July, 14 2015 surrounded by family at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. He was born September 21, 1933 in Willow Grove, DE to the late Herbert and Mary Downes Glanden. He was a member of the Camden/Wyoming Moose Lodge 203. He worked at International Playtex for over 30 years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Carol and 7 siblings. A sister, Mildred Harris, resides in Florida.
Dawson is survived by his two sons, Herbert and his wife Kimberly, Donald and his wife Susan of Dover, two step children, Diana Miller , Ernie and his wife Missy Darling;
Grandchildren, Julie Rutono and her husband Matthew, Hayes Glanden and his wife Michele, Jessica Glanden, Elizabeth Glanden, Brian Darling, Ashley Jenova and her husband Brent, Rachel Salzman and Emma Darling.
He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A service will be held at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover DE on Saturday July 18 at 1 PM. Visitation is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private at a later date.
