Dante Francis Coroniti's Obituary
On June 11, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Dante F. Coroniti and while his time here on Earth is through, he blessed us with 91 years of hard work, quick wit, love, and stories of his time in the service. Dante was born July 24, 1934. He was the son of the late Anthony and Bettina Coroniti. He was born and raised in Mount Carmel, PA and was the second youngest of 9 children. Proud of his small town roots, he spent his entire childhood and younger years in the family home at the corner of Fifth street and briefly worked in the town’s cigar factory. Dante graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic in July of 1953. He served in both the Strategic Air Command and Military Airlift Command, serving many bases stateside and abroad. Trained and skilled on the inner workings of F89 Fighter jets, B52 Bombers, and C5 Galaxy Heavy Cargo Planes, Dante was loved and respected among those he served alongside. After 21 years, 2 months, and 18 days in service, he retired from the Air Force in 1974. Dante’s strong work ethic carried on to a second career as a manager and building material salesman with U.L. Harman Inc. He spent 25 years with the company and retired for a second time in 1999.
Dante enjoyed wood working, Phillies baseball, Eagles football, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always up for a good laugh and always kept us on our toes. He enjoyed trips to the casino with his daughter in law, Donna, and leisurely sitting on the front porch “stooping”. Dante was a lifetime member of the VFW, a 70-year member of The American Legion, longstanding member of Delaware Veterans Post #2, and the DAV.
Dante is survived by a son, Anthony J. Coroniti and his wife Donna; two grandchildren, Brittany Petras Cutrer and her husband Josh, John D. Coroniti and his wife Brittany; three great grandchildren Jaxon and Mckenzie Cutrer, and Dominick Coroniti; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and his beloved wife Trudy who passed in 2007, Dante was preceded in death by his daughter Janis Koppany; four brothers Dominick Coroniti, Victor Coroniti, Reynold “Poochie” Coroniti, and Frederick Coroniti; four sisters Viola Coroniti, Caroline McSurdy, Elizabeth Trocki, and baby Catherine Coroniti.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
