Obituary for Charles Bruce Elliott
Charles Bruce Elliott died peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2016 at Celebration Hospital,
Celebration, FL. Chuck was born on January 3, 1932 in Dover, DE the son of the late N.D. Elliott Jr.
and Lillian Elliott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Carlin Elliott and his brother N.
Dodson Elliott III. He is survived by his daughter Deborah E. Wicks and her husband John of
Kissimmee, FL. Two grandsons, John Wicks Jr. and his wife Amy of Kissimmee, FL and Charles
E. Wicks of Nashville, TN. He was also awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandson due in July.
Nephews Ward Novak and his wife Marty of Middletown, DE and Greg Elliott of Orange Park,
FL, Niece Susan Elliott of Philadelphia, PA and Sister-in-law Barbara Elliott of Orange Park, FL.
Chuck attended Dover High School and was a graduate of James H. Groves High School 1973.
He was a very proud Korea war vet serving in the Air Force. He worked at Dover Air Force Base
Civil Service for 38 years before retiring to Kissimmee, FL in 1997. He was also an employee of
Brunswick Doverama for many years and coached Jr. Bowlers. Mr. Elliott enjoyed camping,
bowling and drinking beer with his buddies on Friday nights.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 13th at Trader Funeral Home between the hours of 3 and 5 PM.
Funeral will be Monday, March 14th at 11 AM, Burial will take place at Lakeside cemetery. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
