Catheryn Cecilia Prettyman's Obituary
Catheryn Cecelia (Peterman)Prettyman, known as Kay, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024 at Complete Care at Brackenville. Born on February 3, 1937, Kay was the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Peterman. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jim, Tom and John, her sisters Norma and Alberta, and her son Paul Thomas. Her younger brother Bill is the sole surviving sibling.
Kay graduated from Milford High School, class of 1955, where she was a standout athlete, excelling in basketball, field hockey, softball, and cheerleading.
Kay had an outgoing personality and could talk to anyone. She loved to sing, dance, spend time with family and friends.
Kay is survived by her five children: Theresa Streiner (Andy), Margie Hartnett (Bill), Andy Prettyman (Judy), CJ Prettyman (Gina) and Cathy Pizzini (Lucio)
She was extremely proud of her children, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A devout Catholic, Kay was deeply committed to her faith and pro-life causes.
Kay's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 17th at St. John the beloved 907 Milltown Road Wilmington De 19808 from 10:30-11:30 followed by a Celebration of Life funeral mass.
A Celebration of Life burial mass will be on Monday August 19th at 11 am at Holy Cross Cemetery Dover De
