CATHERINE BUTTNER
Rockledge, FL – Catherine Lynne Buttner passed away on Friday, February 25, 2018 at her home in Rockledge, FL.
She was born on June 28, 1955, in Chester, PA to John G. and Winona B. Buttner. She was preceded in death by her Father, John Buttner in 1970, and husband, Peter Early in 2007.
She is survived by her Mother, Winona B. Flyzik of Dover, DE, and brothers, Richard A. Buttner and wife, H. Katherine Buttner of Mechanicsville, VA, and David J. Buttner of Springfield, VA. Also surviving are four nephews - Matthew Buttner and wife Rachel of Glen Burnie, MD, Jonathan Buttner and wife, Jerusha of Annandale, Virginia, and Bryant Buttner and Eric Buttner both of Mechanicsville, VA.
Cathy and her family moved from Aldan, PA in 1963 to Dover, graduating from Dover High School in 1973 where she enjoyed being a member of the Band and the Pom Pom Squad and was co-valedictorian.
In 1977, she graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Accounting and immediately began her career with Texaco in Atlanta, GA and Cherry Hill, NJ. Later she moved to Houston, TX and recently to Florida where she loved the climate and surroundings.
A memorial service will be held at Trader Funeral Home; 12 Lotus St.; Dover, DE on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., where friends may call at 2:00 p.m.
