DOVER - Brenda Lee Vanderwende passed away on December 13, 2021 at Bayhealth South after a brief illness. Brenda was born October 17, 1962 in Dover, Delaware to the late Howard and Ida (Ivory) Masten. Brenda was raised and grew up in Leipsic, Delaware. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, bowling and especially playing cards. She rarely missed a big poker game at her Mom's. In addition to her parents; she was predeceased by a special niece, Tara Masten. She is survived by her children, Christopher Burleigh (Brandi) of Smyrna, Dustin Burleigh of Williamsburg, Va., Becky Hurd of Milford and Randy Hurd (Danielle) of Federalsburg, Md.; sisters, Sarah Lee Hammock (Jerry) of Florida, Betty Ann Banks (Rick) of Camden, Pam Marvel (John Longfellow) of Smyrna; brothers, Howard "Hootie" Masten (Mike Enscoe) of Florida and Dale Masten (Christine) of Smyrna; grandchildren, Trevor and Aubrey Burleigh (Chris), Colton and Skylar Burleigh (Dustin), Jadin Scott and Hunter Lamborn (Becky), and Raelynn and Reese Hurd (Randy).
