Audrey Corbin's Obituary
Audrey Laura (Long) Corbin, 86, of Dover, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. Born on September 2, 1939, in Chapeltown, Delaware, Audrey lived a life filled with love, generosity, and dedication to her family and community.
Audrey devoted much of her professional life to serving others through her work at the Delaware State Employee Federal Credit Union and later as a deputy with the Kent County Sheriff's Office. Her commitment to her career was matched by her active involvement in her community. She was a proud member of the Kent County Homemakers Association and the Magnolia Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary. Audrey also found spiritual fulfillment as a member of Salem Church in Pocomoke, Maryland.
Audrey shared a deep bond with her late husband, James C. Corbin. Together, they pursued their passion for racing standardbred horses and extended their compassion to animals by donating to shelters and rescues. Known for her talkative nature and warm heart, Audrey was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her loving spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, David W. Clendaniel and Jay A. Clendaniel; daughters-in-law Janet Clendaniel and Sonya Clendaniel; grandchildren David Wayne Clendaniel, Sara Clendaniel, Joshua A. Clendaniel (and his wife Casey), and Amber Sharp (and her husband Mark Hammell); and great-grandchildren Braedan Wireman, Paisley Clendaniel, and Madelyn Clendaniel. Audrey was predeceased by her parents Elwood Long and Myrtle Warren Long; brothers Edward Long and Lee Long; sister Doris Botsch; and beloved husband James C. Corbin.
Audrey's legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her. A Graveside Service will be held on July 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Oddfellows Cemetery 35 Rising sun Rd In lieu of flowers, the family welcomed donations to Delaware Hospice 100 Patriots Way, Milford De 19963
