Obituary for Anneliese J. Shaver
Anneliese Johanna Shaver of Hartly, Delaware, formerly of Painted Post, New York, died on January 5, 2015 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Dover, Delaware. A native of Germany and born Anneliese J. Wieprecht on August 8, 1918, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Shaver was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Shaver. She is survived by two sons—Martin and Mark Shaver, both of Batavia, New York. Mrs. Shaver is also survived by a daughter, Vera Ann, and son-in-law, Michael Connelly and four grandchildren—Joshua, Christopher, and Jason Connelly, as well as a granddaughter, Jennifer Peters, and husband, Jeremy Peters. Family and friends attended a graveside burial ceremony at 2:00 pm on January 7, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post, New York. This was then followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:30 pm at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd in the First Presbyterian Church, Corning, New York. Mrs. Shaver was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Corning, New York. She was also an affiliate member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dover, Delaware, and a friend of the Solid Rock Church of Hazletteville, Delaware.
