Cathi Kopera
It was a huge shock when I was reading online the Obituary's and came across "Wayne Hammonds" name. I had no idea he was that sick. He would call me from time to time just to say ,"HI" or Ms Cathi "I'm OK". I met Wayne when he came to stay with us at the men's shelter in Dover for a bit of time. I was the intake coordinator. He was one of the best !!! Often times he would come and ask me if I had any errands to run cause he wanted to ride with me no matter where it was. He often went on shopping trips or if I had to go pick up another resident, he would go so I didn't have to go alone. I have many wonderful memories of him that I will always cherish.
The last I talked to him he was in Wilmington. Prior to his going to Wilmington I had taken him to get some clothes, which he left in my car. He was going to call me when he got back in the area so he could get his new to him clothing.
