Trader Funeral Home, Inc. in Dover is a family owned business, founded in 1953 by Roland P. Trader. In 1976, his sons Thomas and Ross Trader joined the family firm and became licensed funeral directors in Delaware and Maryland. They were soon followed by Roland’s wife Grace Trader in 1980. Since Roland’s death in 1994, the family has carried on the business with an average of 160 funerals per year in the town of about 35,000 people.
