Edith S Jarman

January 27, 1936 - July 18, 2021

Edith S Jarman passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born January 27, 1936, near Crumpton, MD, to the late Barrett and Harriet Holden Savington. She spent most of her life as a homemaker except for a short time when she worked for Latex Credit Department and 15 years for the Capital School District Food Services. She was a member of Hartly United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and anything else she was asked to do. For the United Methodist Women, she enjoyed helping to make lap robes for D.H.C.I. in Smyrna, and quilts for Project Linus for sick children in need. She was a member of the Round Table Club of Wyoming-Camden, where she loved making toys for children at Kent General Hospital. Her greatest joy came from being with her family and working in her garden. When the grandchildren were young, she and her husband Kline could be found at most of their home games of softball, basketball, hockey, and at the racetrack to watch their grandson race go-carts and micros. She is survived by her husband J. Kline Jarman of 67 years. Two daughters; Beverly Smith and her husband Bruce, Connie Gingerich and her husband David. One son; Alan Jarman and his incredibly special friend Bonnie, all of Hartly. Seven grandchildren, Jessi Thompson (Adam), Michelle Bundek (Richard), Wendy Carpenter (Kenny), Amanda Gosch (Brad), Susie Hobbs (Adam), Samantha Jarman (Brad), and Davey Gingerich (Erica), and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Evelyn Glanding of Millington, MD. Visitation will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. with service immediately following at Trader Funeral Home, Lotus Street, Dover, DE. Interment at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Hartly United Methodist Church or Seasons Hospice. Letters of condolences maybe send to www.traderfh.com
