Doris R. Shockley of Magnolia passed away peacefully on December 10,2015 at her home. She was 85. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Roe and his wife Ellen Coverdale Roe. She spent much of her life employed at H.C. Richardson & Sons as a book keeper. She was also employed at the late Palmer Home. She enjoyed NASCAR, baseball, bluegrass and country music. She is proceeded in death by her husband Harvey Shockley Jr. and all her brothers and sister. She is survived by her two sons Paul Shockley Sr. and his wife Alice and Bruce Shockley and his wife Bonnie. Three grandchildren Shelly Russum and her husband Dustin, Kassandra Shockley, and Paul Shockley Jr. Four great grandchildren Ryan Lefort, Andrew Lefort, Jake Lefort, and AllyKay Shockley. A sister in law Norma Roe and Debra Roe Virdin and Jeff Roe as well as several other neices and nephews. Services will be Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Trader's funeral home. Family and friends are welcome at 1030. Service will be 1130. Burial will follow at 2:00 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Hillsboro. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations go to Delaware Hospice.
