Dee Ann Mason

February 9, 1970 - February 15, 2022

Dee Ann "Dee" (Marvel) Mason was born on February 9, 1970, in Dover. She passed away on February 15, 2022, at Kent General Hospital with her husband by her side. She was 52. She retired from Verizon in 2010 and was an active poultry farmer for Mountaire for 27 years. Dee always worked hard at everything she did. Dee enjoyed horses, whether it be harness racing with her father or performance horses with her daughter. She was an avid outdoors woman, enjoying hunting, crabbing, and fishing. No matter the activity, she could be found enjoying the outdoors, especially with her grandson. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty or tell you how it was. Dee was predeceased by her father David Marvel. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, William (Billy) M. Mason of Felton; and daughter, Amber (Mason) Gonzalez (Jean) of Felton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ethan and Asher. Dee is also survived by her mother Linda (Virdin) Marvel as well as brother, Richard (Beth) of Harrington, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Porter and Ema. Dee Ann will be greatly missed by all who was blessed to have her in their lives. Services will be held privately by family at a later date.
