Coronavirus Notice

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policies and procedures

In order to protect the Families we serve, the General Public and our Staff, we will follow the directives received from Local, State, National health officials and National Funeral Directors Association to reduce the potential of possible spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you are sick, please stay at home. This policy established will permit us to serve families in a fashion that will afford protection to all involved.

We are making every effort to ensure limited social interaction and possible exposure. If you are sick, please stay at home. Our services during this time of emergency will conform to the COVID-19 mitigation protocols issued by the federal government, the State of Delaware, the CDC, OSHA, and National Funeral Directors Association. The following are our policies and procedures which have been established in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

If the cause of death is non COVID-19, we will assist the family in arranging a private visitation, funeral and/or graveside service (limited to 10 people only). Online and printed death notices, visitation and/or services will be listed as private.

If the cause of death is from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we will assist the family in arranging for a direct cremation or immediate burial. We are not offering embalming or visitation as an option. We also are limiting our exposure to those who may have cared for or had exposure to the deceased. Therefore, if the family wants to arrange for a Memorial Service at a local church, we can assist them in making those arrangements and putting them in contact with the church. We are not directing, attending or participating in that memorial service. If the family is arranging an immediate burial, we can schedule a graveside service and a funeral director will meet them and the clergy at the cemetery. There will be no religious or funeral services scheduled in our facility.

Online condolences and flowers for families can be made on our website We hope that this policy can soon be revised as the pandemic ends.
